After arriving in the U.S., Ms. Lane attended Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University) and graduated Cum Laude with majors in Psychology and German.  Ms. Lane Participated in the Honor's Program and completed it with an Honor's Thesis Titled: "The Shaping of Human Personality."

After receiving her Bachelor of Arts, Ms. Lane attended Michigan State University--College of Law where
she graduated with a Juris Doctor Degree and a concentration in International and Comparative Law. 

While in Law School, Ms. Lane completed several interesting research papers in the immigration law area; these included the U.S. Patriot Act, the International Human Rights Violations, and the L-Visa, just to mention a few.
